From 25 to 26 August 2025, Caritas Cambodia through cooperated with Provincial Governor, local authority to organized dissemination ceremony to distributed sanitation and hygiene kit to 6194 displaced families and other facilities to supported WASH and Shelter sectors in 10 IDP camps of Preah Vihear, Siem Reap and Oddor Meanchey province. The ceremony preside over by provincial governor representative, Bishop Enrique Figaredo (Tep Chanpiseth) Board of Director of Caritas Cambodia and Mr. Kim Ratana, Executive Director of Caritas Cambodia.
The Emergency Response project on “Border Clashed between Thai and Cambodia” started from August to October 2025 to covered on key sectors as following:
1. Set Up temporary shelter
2. Supported sanitation kits and installed facilities to improve Water and Sanitation, Hygiene sector (WASH)
3. Protection and preparedness through education, awareness campaigns on primary health care
4. Establishment of temporary classroom, child-friendly spaces, and libraries in IDP camps
5. Provided supported on Psychosocial supported through conducted assessment on mental health, counseling and referral for treatment of psychological issues.
